Spending the weekend hard at work on their latest film, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale were spotted cruising around the Hollywood set of “Knight of Cups” on Saturday (July 14).
The Oscar-winning actress looked her usual charming self in an all-black ensemble as she was seen riding shotgun with her hunky co-star as they casually navigated the streets of Tinseltown in a Lincoln convertible.
The workday comes as Bale recently spoke out on what it was like to play the iconic Batman role for the last time in “The Dark Knight Rises” – which hits theaters on July 20th.
The 38-year-old said that the nearing finality dawned on him while filming a rooftop scene with co-star Anne Hathaway, explaining, ““So again I said, ‘Can you please leave me alone for 20 minutes?’. I sat there for a while realizing, ‘This is it — I’m never going to be putting this [costume] on again.’ I was absorbing the weight of the moment. The trilogy has meant an awful lot to me.”
Out running her daily errands, Anne Hathaway was spotted making her way around Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (May 22).
The “Les Miserables” actress looked thin and toned in a flowing maxi dress with black sandals and her new short do, which she has been sporting for her musical acting gig.
In other career news, the brunette beauty has also been featured in her new role as Catwoman in posters for the film “The Dark Knight Rises.”
In the new sultry posters, the 29-year-old star looks stunning in her figure-hugging black full body outfit which she seems to love it just as much as she previously explained, “I love the costume because everything has a purpose. Nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City.”
The film, which is set to release July 20 takes place eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes. Now a new terrorist leader Bane ( Tom Hardy) overwhelms Gotham’s finest and the Dark Knight ( Christian Bale) resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.
The Christopher Nolan directed flick is an epic conclusion of his Batman trilogy and according to IMDB, picks up eight years after the hero “took the fall for Two Face’s crimes. A new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.”
It also stars Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman and opens in theaters on July 20.
