Beyonce & Blue Ivy’s Oscar Sunday Stroll

Having made her first public appearance with her bundle of joy the previous day, Beyonce was spotted strolling the streets of the Big Apple with Blue Ivy on Sunday afternoon (February 26).

The “Dance For You” singer was bundled up for the still chilly east coast weather as she held her little darling close to her chest while accompanied by a burly bodyguard during the New York City outing.

Only month and a half removed from welcoming their first child into the world, Beyonce and rapper husband Jay-Z spent the previous day out to lunch at family favorite Sant Ambroeus Restaurant.

Of the adorable tot’s first weeks in this world, Miss Knowles’ mother, Tina, recently told People magazine, “She’s doing great … She’s beautiful.”

The black-outfit clad Oscar-winning actress worked her magic for the Terry Richardson shot spread while speaking with the magazine about topics including good pal Beyonce and living in the UK.

On Beyonce:

“Beyonce is the most talented human being on the planet. She has so much mastery over what she does. It’s not even confidence – it’s on a whole other level. It’s mind-blowing. I watched her (perform) a lot to see how she did it, and I was like ‘Shit! I can’t do that!’”

On living in the UK:

“In England, people are cool. They’re really laid back and calm. Beyonce did the school run with me once, and everyone was fine. They also have really good anti-paparazzi rules. If you’re driving in a car and they make you feel freaked out, that’s against the law. They can’t put you in a magazine unless they pixelate the kids’ faces. I miss America, but I love living in the UK.”

On singing live at the Country Music Awards:

“Before I did it I was dying. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat. I was like, ‘Why would I say yes to this? What is wrong with me? What kind of maniac would agree to do this?’”

On her work-out routine:

“I really work my ass off. I mean, I eat like this – I eat whatever I want – so I don’t have a choice. But it’s worth it. You can’t eat whatever you want and be 38 and have two kids and look really good unless you just put the time in and fo it.”

On English people:

“They’re really laid-back and calm. Beyonce did the school run with me once and everyone was fine.”
