Less than two weeks ahead of their movie’s big debut, the stars of “The Dark Knight Rises” gathered together for Director Christopher Nolan’s Hand and Foot print ceremony in Hollywood on Saturday (July 7).
Among those on-hand outside of Grauman’s Chinese Theater were cast members Anne Hathaway, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.
Meanwhile, during his time at the podium a humbled Mr. Nolan spoke of the concrete tribute’s permanence, telling, “I think that’s an astute observation. There is something about the permanence of these things. I’m standing on Clint Eastwood’s name right now and there’s something about knowing that he actually wrote that. There’s something very interesting about that phenomenon of trying to preserve something and trying to hang onto it.”
The event comes just after Yahoo! Movies released a brand new IMAX spot for “The Dark Knight Rises” – which can be viewed in the player below!
Also starring Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard, the much-awaited movie hits regular and IMAX theaters on July 20th.
Out taking a casual afternoon stroll, Anne Hathaway was spotted with her fiancé Adam Shulman in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday (June 3).
The “Les Miserables” actress looked perfect for summer in a black maxi dress and floppy sun hat while holding up her injured arm in a fashionable sling.
Alhough we are unsure of where her injury stemmed from, it looks like the 29-year-old star has been conquering the action film business pretty well.
In a recent interview with Empire magazine, the brunette beauty opened up about her role as Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
When dishing about what it’s like to be the tough girl in the film Anne said, “Wonderful. I’m going to open a shopping mall,” jokingly adding, “no, I didn’t think about it like that. It wasn’t about, ‘Oh, I’m a girl who’s going to beat these boys up,’ and I’m sorry to sound so serious about it, but it was all about the character? it didn’t matter what my feelings were. I just had to keep my head down and stack it like she would.”
The action packed flick, which also stars Christian Bale and Liam Neeson is set to hit theaters on July 20.
Out running her daily errands, Anne Hathaway was spotted making her way around Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (May 22).
The “Les Miserables” actress looked thin and toned in a flowing maxi dress with black sandals and her new short do, which she has been sporting for her musical acting gig.
In other career news, the brunette beauty has also been featured in her new role as Catwoman in posters for the film “The Dark Knight Rises.”
In the new sultry posters, the 29-year-old star looks stunning in her figure-hugging black full body outfit which she seems to love it just as much as she previously explained, “I love the costume because everything has a purpose. Nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City.”
The film, which is set to release July 20 takes place eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes. Now a new terrorist leader Bane ( Tom Hardy) overwhelms Gotham’s finest and the Dark Knight ( Christian Bale) resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.
The Christopher Nolan directed flick is an epic conclusion of his Batman trilogy and according to IMDB, picks up eight years after the hero “took the fall for Two Face’s crimes. A new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.”
It also stars Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman and opens in theaters on July 20.
With the final piece to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy “The Dark Knight Rises” being set to release July 20, a new promo picture of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman was released today (April 11) and she’s looking fierce.
The “Princess Diaries” star is a highly anticipated addition to the superhero flick and will join Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordeon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, and Juno Temple.
Her take on the character will be a bit villainous, as Anne will get the chance to show off her fighting skills by playing a talented criminal.
“She has a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about,” said Nolan, “which implies an underlying darkness.”
The Catwoman costume has faced scrutiny from critics since it was first revealed because of its deviation from the original.
The traditional headpiece is now a mask with high-tech goggles that turn into cat ears and the tight spandex suit paired with the high-heel boots give Nolan’s version an edge. She’s also sporting a gun instead of a whip, which makes her more dangerous.
What do you think of Miss Hathaway’s take on this sexy superhero?
