Sofia Vergara Celebrates 40th Birthday in Mexico

Clearly age is just a number as Sofia Vergara proved during her trip to Campeche, Mexico to kick off her 40th birthday celebrations.

The stunning “Modern Family” actress looked better than ever as she posed with various artifacts on the gorgeous countryside and tweeted “ciaooo Campeche!” when she arrived at her hotel to a swarm of fans.

With her birthday being on Tuesday, July 10th, Miss Vergara also voiced her elation over a plastic figurine crafted in her likeness, of which she messaged, “I have my own bubble head! Gracias Chi !”

Miss Vergara is spending her trip with on-again boyfriend Nick Loeb, of which a source tells E! News, “They are very much in love. They have been sightseeing together in Campeche, and are extremely happy. Nick would not be anywhere else but by her side for this important occasion.”

On location for the second day of her guest role filming efforts, Lindsay Lohan puffed away on a cigarette during a break from shooting scenes for “Glee” in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 26).

The “Mean Girls” starlet looked a bit bedraggled while clad in a leather jacket and form fitting trousers as she hung out with show regular Cory Monteith as they sought shelter from the rain under a tent.

Hopefully, the second day on set goes a bit more smoothly that her “Glee” debut – as a source told E! News, “Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday. She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn’t want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her.”

Defending his oft-troubled client, Miss Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, called the negative comments a “misunderstanding”, explaining, “The production team came to us and said that they wanted to start [with Lindsay] right after lunch, which was at 2. They wanted to begin with Lindsay at 3, so that meant she had a lot of time where she wasn’t doing anything. That’s why people didn’t see her. She was then in hair and makeup and began after lunch at 3.”

Honig added, “If there was a problem yesterday, I would have just said ‘no comment,’ however I can’t ignore this because this is utter B.S. This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is back on set again today.”

Congratulations are in order, as it’s being reported that Megan Fox has a baby on the way!

According to E! News, the “Friends with Kids” star is pregnant with her and husband Brian Austin Green’s first child together – with the news coming after Megan recently expressed that she’s interested in having more than one baby in the future.

“I want at least two, probably three kids,” the “Transformers” actress said in the April issue of Cosmopolitan. “I’ve always been maternal.”

The family addition comes as Fox’s former “Beverly Hills, 90210″ actor hubby already has a 10-year-old son with his ex, Vanessa Marcil.

Making a big comeback in the acting world, Lindsay Lohan has officially announced that she is set to play Elizabeth Taylor’s character in the new Lifetime original movie, “Liz and Dick.”

Over the recent months there’s been numerous rumors spread that the “Mean Girls” star would be playing the coveted role, but her recent run-ins with the law were expected to ruin any chances of the collaboration.

“We have wanted Lindsay from day one,” said Larry Thompson, executive producer, in an interview with E! News. “She had a lot in her life that was going on. We needed to give her time to take care of her business, and while we negotiated the deal for her we prayed for her—and wonderfully she has behaved. She’s cleared herself and we’re ready to start this movie.”

The 25-year-old actress expressed her excitement for the role in a recent press release, stating, “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

The film will portray the late actress’ love affair with Richard Burton and its impact on the media. The couple left their spouses after meeting during the production of “Cleopatra” in the early sixties. They fell in love, married and divorced ten years later only to get married again in 1975, which ended in a second divorce.

“We are thrilled Lindsay will portray beloved Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor,” said Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President of Lifetime Networks in a statement. “She is one of the rare actresses who possess the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon.”

“Liz & Dick” is set to begin filming in early June in Los Angeles.

Making her first public appearance since checking out of Utah’s Cirque Lodge in March, Demi Moore turned up at the launch of ‘The Conversation with Amanda De Cadenet’ on Tuesday night (April 17).

The “Ghost” actress looked to be in fine form as she joined alongside actress/photographer Amanda de Cadenet and InStyle Editor Ariel Foxman at the fete held at a private residence in Beverly Hills, CA.

During the festivities, Miss De Cadenet spoke with E! News about her new show – telling that she was keen to work with Miss Moore (her best friend) on the program.

“I’d been doing these interviews for about a year and Demi is one of my best girlfriends and a great sounding board for me,” Amanda dished to E!. “She’s got 10 years on me, and so she is more ahead of me in the game of being a woman. She is an amazing resource for me, and so she has a vast life experience that I love to experience and to hear. And so I had been doing this for a year, and at a point that it became a reality and looked like it could actually go on TV, Demi said, ‘Listen, Lifetime wants me to do something with them, but I want to do it with your thing. I really believe in what you are doing.’”

Amanda added, “It was amazing to go to work with someone that I am so close to. It’s really cool to be able to do that. She is really enjoying going behind the camera, she’s a really good director…She’s not someone that’s like, ‘Oh I can’t make that phone call.’ If she’s on she’s on, she’s in. She doesn’t do things half-arsed. It was great to have her involved.”

Seven years after the most talked about affair in Tinseltown, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have confirmed they are indeed engaged and – although it might be hailed the most anticipated celebrity wedding of all time – there is one celebrity who doesn’t care to hear any of the details.

Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston has been rumored to still have feelings for the actor over the years, but it seems to not be the case anymore.

Upon learning about the engagement, an Aniston pal assured E! News, “She doesn’t care. She really doesn’t. She’s happy with Justin [Theroux]. She’ll probably marry him. She’s moved on. People don’t want to believe it, but she has.”

Aniston was reportedly at home when she found out Brangelina are set to wed, as another source revealed, “She was happy and hanging out with her man”.

It seems the 43-year-old actress has really been enjoying her year long relationship with Theroux, and she recently opened up about their relationship, telling Australia’s Marie Claire, “He’s a protector, for sure, he’s just a good human being, and so funny.”

Kicking off the weekend with some heavy duty PDA, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler were spotted locking lips during the first day of the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA yesterday (April 13).

The “High School Musical” alum and her studly actor beau both looked warm weather ready in skin-baring attire as they roamed the grounds at the Empire Polo Club.

The trip to Coachella comes just as Vanessa recently finished up filming her newest movie, “Spring Breakers,” alongside other co-stars Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson.

In an interview with E! News, Hudgens explains how this role is fitting for her, saying, “I think at the end of the day you have to do parts that you could semi-relate to. I’m certainly not one who is going to rob a bank, but there is a part of me that loves smashing things and I get to do that [in this film].”

The new flick follows four college friends who try to fund their latest spring break trip by robbing a restaurant, which of course leads them straight to the slammer where they get bailed out by a drug dealer who is looking for them to do some dirty work.

The Harmony Korine film, which is set to release in 2013, also stars Rachel Korine and James Franco.

Bringing her glam self to the red carpet, Scarlett Johansson dazzled at the Hollywood premiere of “The Avengers” on Thursday night (April 11).

The 27-year-old worked the El Capitan Theater venue clad in a fitted, black Versace dress paired with with black heels and an updo hairstyle.

Talking with E! News during the film screening festivities, Miss Johansson was asked to share her super power, to which she interestingly replied, “Muffin baking.”

Explaining further, Scarlett dished, “I can make blueberry, banana chocolate chip…it’s like a superpower, just more fattening, I guess.”

As for getting the chance to play Black Widow again, Johansson recently told Total Film, “I love her. So putting on the outfit is like, “Ah, the old familiar friend.’ You have all this history to fall back on.”

Getting in some quality couple’s retail relaxation, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler were spotted shopping at Planet Blue in Beverly Hills, CA on Wednesday (April 11).

The “High School Musical” alum looked gorgeous ricking her signature dark curly locks with big circle frame sunglasses while Butler sported skinny jeans, a blazer and sunglasses.

The retail romp comes just as Vanessa recently finished up filming her newest movie, “Spring Breakers,” alongside other co-stars Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson.

Glowing after a little week-beginning pampering, LeAnn Rimes was spotted leaving the Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills on Monday afternoon (April 9).

The “How Do I Live” singer strutted down the street with her freshly cut coif while clad in an asymmetrical, snake-print summer dress with matching sunglasses and handbag.

After the McMillan visit, Miss Rimes was quick to sing praises about her stylist, tweeting, “LOVE my hair cut from Mr. McMillian as always. Great date lunch w/ hot hubby, now onto meetings & doctor. Super fun”.

In related news, rumors leaked that LeAnn had plans to write a tell-all memoir about her affair and marriage with her hubby, Eddie Cibrian. On Friday, an anonymous source told E! News that Rimes’ rep was seeking out help for her new book.

The news came more than one month after Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, tweeted that she was going to write a book on how to survive divorce.

Glanville’s marriage with Cibrian ended after he and Rimes met on the set of the television program “Northern Lights” in 2009 and pursued a relationship with each other. The affair also ended Rimes’ marriage to Dean Sheremet and she tied the knot with Cibrian in April 2011.

Today, the 29-year-old country-cutie denied the recent buzz about her tell-all book, tweeting, “So you all know, I’m blonde & there’s no ‘tell all’ book about divorce, marriage and ‘my side.’ I just laugh at a of this!”.
