After getting into a nasty wreck on the Pacific Coast Highway with her assistant on Friday (June 8), Lindsay Lohan’s battle with the other driver isn’t over yet.
According to a report put out by People magazine on Sunday (June 10), the 25-year-old star’s rep Steve Honig says that the actress is taking the necessary steps explaining, “Lindsay cooperated fully with law enforcement. She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for.”
Although LiLo is reportedly doing everything she is supposed to, the driver of the 18 wheeler says that following the accident the red-head and her team weren’t looking to go the legal route at first.
In a report put out by TMZ, James says that the “Herbie: Fully Loaded” starlet’s team first tried to bribe him adding, “The guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn’t want to be in the media, but I’d already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene.”
However, Honig tells the site that the driver is just looking for a payoff saying, “It seems to me once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and [her assistant] Gavin are okay.”
As of now, Police are still investigating the accident.
Lindsay Lohan is fine following her afternoon collision in Santa Monica, California.
The actress was involved in a serious accident while on her way to the set of the Lifetime movie.
Lohan was reportedly taken to the hospital as a precaution after she complained of minor pains. The actress totaled her black Porsche when she collided with an 18-wheeler. Everyone involved in the accident is fine.
Lohan was released less than two hours after the accident and was headed back to the set to continue working, TMZ reports.
Steve Honig, Lohan’s publicist, released a statement after the accident saying, “Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the set….She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident.”
According to reports, drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident. Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis said the actress did not appear impaired after the accident. An investigation in to what caused the accident is still underway.
On location for the second day of her guest role filming efforts, Lindsay Lohan puffed away on a cigarette during a break from shooting scenes for “Glee” in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 26).
The “Mean Girls” starlet looked a bit bedraggled while clad in a leather jacket and form fitting trousers as she hung out with show regular Cory Monteith as they sought shelter from the rain under a tent.
Hopefully, the second day on set goes a bit more smoothly that her “Glee” debut – as a source told E! News, “Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday. She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn’t want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her.”
Defending his oft-troubled client, Miss Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, called the negative comments a “misunderstanding”, explaining, “The production team came to us and said that they wanted to start [with Lindsay] right after lunch, which was at 2. They wanted to begin with Lindsay at 3, so that meant she had a lot of time where she wasn’t doing anything. That’s why people didn’t see her. She was then in hair and makeup and began after lunch at 3.”
Honig added, “If there was a problem yesterday, I would have just said ‘no comment,’ however I can’t ignore this because this is utter B.S. This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is back on set again today.”
