She’s well on her way to yet another career comeback, and Lindsay Lohan is having a blast playing the role of Elizabeth Taylor.
And in a newly-released official photograph, it seems the “Georgia Rule” actress has done a great job of morphing into the iconic actress.
According to the “Liz and Dick” costume designer, Salvador Perez, “You’d swear it was Elizabeth… there was an audible gasp.”
Perez also noted, “Part of the magic is the wardrobe. And Lindsay said she wants to bring magic to the movie.”
Falling victim to another wardrobe malfunction, Lindsay Lohan put on a peep show while filming a scene for “Liz & Dick” -as her boobs fell out of her dress while on the Los Angeles, California set on Monday (June 4).
Channeling Elizabeth Taylor, the 25-year-old actress went bra-less in a low-cut stripped halter dress which revealed more than hoped for (we think…) during a scene in which her co-star, Grant Bowler (who plays Taylor’s husband, Richard Burton), aggressively grabbed Lohan’s arm.
After adjusting her dress and laughing off the slip-up, Lindsay prepared to film another take of the heated scene on the luxury water vessel – which is said to recreate Taylor and Burton’s Naples vacation in 1965, according to the Daily Mail.
Expected to premiere in October of 2012, the Lifetime flick “Liz & Dick” follows the roller coaster romance between Taylor and Burton who married and divorced each other twice, and although many thought casting Lohan for the part was a mistake, the films producer, Larry Thompson, is confident she is the perfect person for the role.
“Maybe a lot of younger people don’t know Elizabeth Taylor that well. They don’t realize that when this affair happened they were the most famous people in the world. If they think that Lindsay lives a scandalous life, these people invented scandal.”
LiLo seems pretty confident as well, telling Access Hollywood earlier this year, “I know that I’m great and I know that I know Liz Taylor really well, I’m really lucky to be able to do this role and I just want to honor her the way she should be honored because she’s helped a lot of people in her life.”
