They share a connection thanks to “American Idol,” and past winner Carrie Underwood teamed up with current judge Steven Tyler for an Indiana State Fairgrounds Pepsi Coliseum performance in Indianapolis on Saturday night (February 4).
The duo took the stage to the crowds delight while treating the audience to a set including a rockin’ rendition of Carrie’s hit song “Before He Cheats” as part of the CMT Crossroads Live From ‘Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam’ event.
Prior to taking the stage, Carrie and Steven spoke about one another during a show promo, with the Aerosmith rocker saying, “You were why I took judging for ‘Idol,’ you are exactly why. Not only could you sing good, but you adapted to this…it’s a pit! It’s a deep, dark, ominous pit. And you get out there on-stage at night with that band, that great band you’ve got and you make people feel happy, first and foremost. All the rest, if people knew what we went through to get out on that stage… you have gotten past that and not a lot of people do – they have to get through drugs and alcohol, booze and divorces and even those didn’t make it. You were a natural at it.”
Offering up kind words about Tyler in return, Miss Underwood said, “I remember as a very small child, I could pick your voice out. Even then, you know that it’s different, you know that it’s special and can pick it out from a million other voices. You were definitely part of what gave me that musical, laid-back, in-the-pocket sensibility on albums and stuff like that.”

Venturing out for a alcohol and drug free evening on the town, Demi Lovato was among the stars turning up at the Lexington Social Club in Hollywood on Saturday night (January 7).
The red-haired “Skyscraper” singer was on-hand for the Tinseltown nightspot’s “Sober is Sexy” t-shirt party, with fellow guests including Rumer Willis, Danielle Panabaker, Levin Rambin, Lyndsy Fonseca and Chris Masterson.
The fun-filled “Sober is Sexy” fete comes just after Miss Lovato spoke with Seventeen magazine about how she now finds clean parties to be more hip than getting wasted.
The 19-year-old dished, “I think sober is sexy. It’s cool. I think it’s way cooler to be above the influence than under the influence.”
Demi added, “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t throw up after my meals, I don’t starve myself. There’s nothing that I do that I feel ashamed of.”
Bringing her sexiness to the Sin City New Year’s 2012 celebration, Pamela Anderson was front and center at the famous Studio 54 in Las Vegas on Saturday night (December 31).
Located inside the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, the former “Baywatch” bombshell wore a curve-hugging frock as she kicked off the night at 9 p.m. while accompanied by her pro surfer boyfriend Jon Rose.
Getting things stirred up at the glitzy bash, Studio 54 treated attendees to an open bar for the first two hours of the night to make sure everyone was loosened up and ready to have a good time.
After downing her fair share of refreshments, Miss Anderson proceeded to join alongside Dj KidJay to pick out some crowd-pleasing tunes – with the soiree said to be the very last one ever to be held at the legendary locale.
Celebrating the new year just minutes away from sister Kim, reality power couple Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were busy tending to hosting duties at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens in Las Vegas on Saturday night (December 31).
The expectant momma and her man first snuck in a little gambling at a nearby casino’s roulette table and a quick stop at the Sugar Factory before making their grand Chateau arrival.
Plunking down 100 bucks per entry into the bash, attendees enjoyed an open bar, midnight champagne toast and festive party favors throughout the night.
Adding to the night’s star power, brothers Benji and Joel Madden provided the sounds for the evening on the hotel’s rooftop – as the celebration had a scheduled end time of 5am!
