On her love of NYC:
“I love New York. It’s beautiful and challenging. So inspiring. I could stay out all night, until the sun comes up. I was born and raised here. It’s home.”
On feeling older than she really is:
“I feel like I’ve lived a long time already. I’ve always been around older people. As a kid on set, I was always the youngest.”
On relationships and marriage:
“Falling in love and getting married… It’s nice to know you’re capable of loving somebody in that way. I always think I can figure everything out. Realizing that – if you are with the right person, they can help you out – can be hard. Relationships are complicated.”
On the downside of stardom:
“I don’t like to complain about it, but it was a strange transition to go from being an honest been recognizable. People are either really lovely your chair of the rude. It’s quite shocking when people are following you, bothering you in the bathroom, in the middle of a meal. It’s like the aero of decency is gone.”
On not describing herself as the sex goddesses:
“It’s easy to label an actor who’s played sexually charged characters as a sex-symbol. It’s wonderful for people to think you’re attractive but it’s not something that defines me. Maybe that sounds… This is probably an annoying thing to say. But I’s like to think that I have more interesting defining qualities as an actor.”
Spotted trying to make a quick dash from paparazzi, Scarlett Johansson was seen leaving the Los Angeles, CA set of “Don Jon’s Addiction” on Tuesday (June 19).
The blonde bombshell made a ran while holding up an an umbrella looking beautiful in black skinny jeans and a red blazer as she headed into her awaiting car.
The new Joseph Gordon-Levitt directed and written film follows the journey of a contemporary, porn-addicted Don Juan-type as he attempts to become less selfish.
Also starring Julianne Moore and Tony Danza, the comedy is set to hit the big screen in 2013.
She’s been quite active in the political arena as of late, and Scarlett Johansson spent Thursday night (April 5) hosting a Scott M. Stringer 2013 Mayoral Campaign Fundraiser in New York City.
The “We Bought a Zoo” actress joined alongside the Borough President of Manhattan at the Cabanas at the Maritime while welcoming guests in hopes of raking in a little extra cash for the upcoming election.
Previously voicing just why she backs Stringer, Miss Johnsson recently wrote, “Scott’s passionate vision for a better New York is inspiring. We share a love for this city’s diversity and culture.”
Sounding quite confident that she’s backing a winner, Scarlett added, “When Scott is elected mayor, New Yorkers can expect a representative who is focused on making New York a cleaner, greener city, preserving its affordability and the integrity of our varied communities.”
With her new movie “The Avengers” set to hit theaters on May 4th, Scarlett Johansson amped up promotions by landing the cover of the May 2012 issue of Flare magazine.
The 27-year-old actress looked elegant for the Alexi Lubomirski shot front page while opening up about topics such as her new D&G campaign and red carpet style choices.
Highlights from Miss Johansson’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Flare!
On working with Terry Richardson for her latest Dolce & Gabbana campaign:
“In the past those images were incredibly glamorous and had a movie star feeling to them and I think this campaign will be more intimate and natural, more like myself as opposed to a glamorous character that the boys had in mind. That kind of Anna Magnani sort of character. It’s more modern, less golden age of Hollywood.”
On her personal off-duty style:
“I don’t really wear a lot of colourful things. I wear a lot of grey and black. I love grey and navy.”
On dressing for the red carpet:
“I think it’s nice on the red carpet to wear things that are colourful just because I think there are more options. You can take more of a risk I suppose with colour on the red carpet.”
On her red carpet style for The Avengers:
“I’m the only girl in the film so I’m obviously going to be more aware that I’m surrounded by a bunch of suits. Everybody is going to be wearing black and grey and it will be nice to add femininity and some female sex appeal to the lineup. I think I’ll steer clear of the tuxedo.”
On experimenting with design:
“I like to design things. I think it’s fun and I love clothing, but I don’t think design is my total forte. It’s something that requires a lot of time. If I ever did anything like that I would want to be behind it one hundred percent and I don’t have the time for it. My brain is not in fashion in that way.”
On designer collaborations:
“I’ve been very fortunate that I’ve worked with designers that are also good friends of mine. For different events, whether it’s for the Oscars or the Met ball, I’ve worked with Dolce & Gabbana to design stuff as well as my friends Roland Mouret and Stella McCartney.”
Making an overseas red carpet appearance, Scarlett Johansson was in attendance for the 47th Golden Camera Awards in Berlin, Germany on Saturday evening (February 4).
Held at the Axel Springer Haus, the 27-year-old looked enchanting in a sexy black corseted halterneck gown as she was honored with the Golden Kamera for Best Actress International.
Miss Johansson made the trip sans new boyfriend Nate Naylor, as it was just revealed that Scarlett has struck up a new relationship with the NYC ad exec.
Of seeing the pair on a date, a source told Life & Style magazine, “They were very comfortable and happy together while eating. He also shared some food with her, which was very nice. They were definitely acting like boyfriend and girlfriend.”
The insider continued, “It was all very natural, Scarlett and Nate couldn’t stop smiling. They weren’t in a rush and seemed relaxed, they sat in the back corner.”
